Tatiana Pogglova

I've used the same pattern as for Anna but improved on her face (I think)... never know quite what it's going to look like. I used gorgeous Gotland rare breed fleece for her hair. It's a silvery grey colour  and I really like it a lot.

I made her an outfit from Japanese cotton but really wanted to give her a more informal look so I've knitted her a chunky top from some Rowan wool left over from a knitting project. I'm also making her a denim skirt from one I no longer wear.

Poggalova!

I started thinking about making different dolls. I found some linen in my drawer and worked out a pattern for the body. The only patterns I use are ones I have designed myself. I like the things I make to be totally my own creations. I decided to use some lovely rare breed fleece (which had been thoroughly washed and prepared using eco friendly wool wash) for the hair. I free machine embroidered the face.

This was the result! I decided she was to be a ballet dancer.... hence Anna Pogglova.... although my son's fiance liked her 'porny' image and thought she looked more like a lap dancer. Cheek!

I made her a skirt from some silvery grey organza and knitted her a luxury top from mohair and crocheted an edging with some hand dyed Colinette yarn. She wears a lovely handmade lampwork glass pendant which tones in beautifully with her top.

I couldn't wait to make another Pogglova and the following day started on version two.

Camera Case

My lovely son gave me a much needed new camera for my birthday recently. I was so thrilled and immediately wanted to make a nice case for it.

 I'm really pleased with the way it turned out. It's well padded and I used a fun halloween fabric for the lining.

Worry Bunnies

My friend's grandson asked if I could make him a worry doll. I thought about it for a while and came up with these. They were a good way to use up some colourful scraps of fabric that I'd had in my drawer for a while. Little Ned was thrilled and told his Grandma that they really work! He tells them his worries and the worries go away(especially when he went to the cinema to see The Gruffalo!!!

Expensive but worth it for all the wonderful features. I love it!

Poglets become Poggles!

Poglets started to grow.... they became taller and taller. Their legs grew longer. They were changing into Poggles! 

I so enjoy making Poggles. Each one is a little person but they are always smiley, happy little characters..

 I get rather bored making the same thing over and over.... and so the Pogs began to evolve into something a little different.
